Congratulations to Andrea Nonne for having a great race at the New York City Half Marathon today. Andrea has been training for the Coastal Half Marathon, and didn’t realize that she won the lottery for NYC until a couple of months ago, so we re-directed her training to this race. We planned on using this race as a warm up for Coastal, but it turns out that she got a nice PR with 2:12:51. Great job, Andrea, and congrats on a great race! Next up, Coastal Delaware Half Marathon! Contratuations to Betsy Tootell for another Ironman 70.3, and another podium finish. Ironman 70.3 New Zealand. One the other side of the world, a different hemisphere, a bike that was not her own, riding on the "wrong" side of the road, and wind. And she crushed it! Great job, Betsy! Now you have a week to recover and enjoy your time in New Zealand with Doug. We’ll see you in a week to get back to Boston Marathon training! See MoreSee Less

Two words that are tough for some of us runners to put into use: treadmill and recovery. I hear a lot of people refer to the treadmill as the “dreadmill” because, quite frankly, they can be kind of boring. I don’t think that way. The treadmill is a great tool for interval work and, yes, recovery runs. That’s the other word we don’t like. Recovery. After all, we continuously want to test out bodies and take our training to the limit, so slowing it down a little can take some self discipline. While hard training is a big part of what we do, there is definitely a time for easy active trIning. If you want to know more about running, contact us at TriCoach. Coach Bruce See MoreSee Less
