graduated from the University of Delaware with a B.S. degree in Exercise Science; concentration in coaching. For
one of my internships I was an Assistant Coach with the track & field program at the University of Delaware in 1998 .
That same year the University of Delaware's indoor program won the American East Conference Champions.
In the fall of 1999 I became the Head Coach of the JV soccer program
at Wilmington Friends High School; and in 2000 I took over the Head Coaching position at both
the varsity swimming and track & field programs at nearby Tatnall High School. During the summers
I was also a Lueitantant on the Rehoboth Beach Patrol, where I conducted eight-week physical fitness
training program for all first year guards on the patrol. I educated guards on open water swimming and how to enter
and exit the ocean.
In 2000 I received my USAT Level I Coaching Certification and NFPT Personal Training Certification. Later
that year I moved to San Diego, CA to begin working with San Diego X-Training. We conduct
on-line coaching services, camps, clinics, and one on one programs. I started
racing as a professional triathlete and duathlete in San Diego, Ca in 2001. I've have many impressive results
since the move to San Diego; Member of 7 USA National Teams, Prior # 1 ITU World Ranking, USA National Champion, ITU World
Cup Champion, Ironman Champion.
In the fall
of 2005 I moved back to Rehoboth, DE to train and work in the multi-sport and fitness industry by starting TriCoach. At
TriCoach we continue to meet the needs of our clients, we opened a new training studio just steps from the beach, off of Rehoboth
ave in 2013. I continue to learn as much as I can about the sport of Triathlon by attending multiple USA Triathlon "Art
and Science" conferences. I attended the 2006 USAT Race Directors conference and I received my USAT Level
II Coaching Certification at the USA Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, CA. I was accepted into the elite coaching
mentorship program at the USA Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO in 2012. I have worked with some of the
best athletes and coaches in the sport today. My past race experience and coaching knowledge gives me the unique ability
to coach athletes at the ITU level or long course distances. I will be earning my Masters of Science degree in Sports
Performance and Injury Prevention in the fall of 2014.
